    Opportunity, at home and away

I started my career with Reuters, now Thomson Reuters in Thailand, then relocated to Singapore to work on several major projects. Now I am back in Thailand, leading a second level support team to support Transactions FX Data Center infrastructure globally.

    Impact of the business

I have been part of various teams going the extra mile to investigate and fix technical issues and make significant changes to data centers.

One project resulted in over $1.4 million in annualized savings to the firm.

    Building an efficient team

Currently, I am building a new team as quickly as possible. The business is unique, and the infrastructure my team operates is very important for customers to complete their trades. My goal is to build an efficient, capable team to meet their business needs.

    Launching a career

I joined Thomson Reuters straight out of university. I’ve had only one other job experience -- an internship at a small company doing Web-based application. While here, I’ve moved from software engineer to support consultant to support group lead to my current role as project manager.

I have helped on projects in many different locations from the transition in the UK to conducting product training in Shanghai and Singapore. I’ve worked with clients from around the world.

    Keep the challenges coming

The challenges and learning never stop at Thomson Reuters -- that's what I like.

My biggest challenge today is to see a new transition project owned by the Bangkok team completed successfully and on time. I have accomplished many things, but always as part of a team.

I appreciate Thomson Reuters giving me the opportunity to work and study for my master’s degree at the same time. The experiences gained here are far beyond a normal working life.

    More than a job

I always wondered what would make an employee stay in one company for a long time. Now I understand. Here I am evolving with great people, great technology and great opportunity, it never stops. Throughout the company, I can feel the teamwork and warmth. Not many companies can create this type of environment.

    Technical and people skills required

I began my career with a master’s degree in telecommunication engineering and worked with two other large organizations before joining Thomson Reuters. As a senior support consultant, my job is to help deliver the best product support to increase the customer's satisfaction.

My position is technical, but also involves interaction with many people and teams.

    Communication is very important.

    Providing support near and far

I support customers from around the world by collaborating with the local engineer to remotely solve the problem for the customer. I have introduced new products to engineers worldwide using technology whenever possible, such as WebEx meetings. I enjoy the challenge of sharpening my skills and taking on new challenges.

Collaboration throughout the company is important. We engage with other teams to help deliver the customer's desired product together. It helps to be proactive with Development and Quality Assurance teams to meet delivery expectations and ensure a high-quality product.

    Grow with us

At Thomson Reuters, every employee has the chance to learn, to improve, to grow and to be recognized.

    Become your best

Thomson Reuters emphasizes developing and growing your capabilities and talent.

I believe the genuine care shown in this area keeps employees motivated and knowledgeable.

    Behind every successful project

The challenge is how to give clients what they want on time or even ahead of our competitors without going over budget. Every successful project delivered to our clients is a result of coordinated work by product managers, development, testing, support, sales and marketing.

    Learning from one another

I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside a diverse group of talented colleagues in a global environment. We all have a lot to learn from one another and no matter what our backgrounds we’re all working towards the same goal.
